A small group of people meet every other Wednesday to watch an episode of the world-famous series “The Chosen”, which follows the life of Jesus and his encounters with the disciples and other people, portraying with great humour and insight what those moments might have been like. The style of the film is quite modern with short scenes and interlocking storylines. It all makes for a lot of aha moments.

We meet in the chapel vestry 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 1pm, where everyone is offered a sandwich as we begin, and we spend a short time afterwards talking about what we made of the film, which often gives rise to a nice conversation – sometimes about the film, sometimes about something else entirely!

The episodes are worth watching simply as entertainment, and while some of us are already followers of Jesus, others are simply curious as to what that might mean.
