15-20 people meet every Sunday morning at 10:30 at the chapel to share a time of worship. Sometimes we meet in the sanctuary, sometimes around the table in the vestry. Twice in a month, we have children with us too as part of Spotlight, our Sunday School. This is lots of fun as we worship and learn together as a church family.

Our style of worship combines older hymns with newer songs, Bible readings and a message where we explore what faith in Jesus looks like in 2024 in our local setting. We pray for each other, for our friends and the local community and for the things we have seen and heard on the news. On the first Sunday of the month, we share communion together as part of the service as we remember in a special way all that Jesus has done for us.

People say they find Sunday mornings a warm and welcoming experience – like putting your hands around a warm cup of soup, as one person commented. Those of us who can, often stay after the service for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. This allows us to get to know each other better.

Our evening services (at 6:30) vary. The first Sunday is a reflective service where we leave a bit of time for silence and unhurried connecting with God. The second Sunday follows a Taizé format – short readings and meditative songs. The third Sunday is ‘bring-and-share’ service where those who come can bring a poem, a reading, a hymn or can share an experience or a request for prayer. On the fourth Sunday, there is a traditional communion service in the evening. When there is a fifth Sunday, we try something a little different – keep an eye out for what might happen on Easter Sunday!
